Expeditions:

Has rich expeditionary experience. From 2006 to 2020, he took part in more than 20 Russian and international scientific expeditions. In addition, he participated in the organization of 9 international scientific expeditions to the Pacific and Arctic oceans, including as the head of the geological team (77th, 78th and 83rd voyages of the R/V “Akademik M.A. Lavrentiev”) , deputy the head of the expedition (87th voyage of the R/V Akademik M.A. Lavrentyev) and the head of the expedition (90th voyage of the R/V Akademik M.A. Lavrentyev).

The most significant expeditions include:

  • 2006, August – participant of the Russian-Japanese expedition to the Sea of Okhotsk. Project title: “Study of paleoceanology of the high latitudes of the northern Pacific and adjacent seas and the Arctic.” The expedition took place on board the R/V Mirai.
  • 2007, July-August – participant of the Russian-Japanese expedition to the Sea of Okhotsk. Project goal: “Study of paleoceanology of the Sea of Okhotsk.” The expedition took place on board the R/V Yokosuk.
  • 2010, October-September – participant of the First Russian-Chinese expedition to the Sea of Japan. Project title: “Millennial and centennial changes in the paleoenvironment and productivity of the Seas of Japan and Okhotsk in the Late Pleistocene and Holocene in connection with global climate change.” The expedition took place on board the R/V Akademik M.A. Lavrentiev.
  • 2011, July-August – participant of the Second Russian-Chinese expedition to the Sea of Okhotsk.   • 2013 July-September – participant of the Third Russian-Chinese expedition to the Bering Sea. Project title: “High-resolution reconstruction of rapid changes in environmental conditions and climate of the Bering Sea and Northwestern Pacific Ocean during the Late Pleistocene and Holocene through studies of deep marine sediments.” The expedition took place on board the R/V Akademik M.A. Lavrentiev.
  • 2016, August-September – head of the geological team of the First Russian-Chinese Arctic Expedition “Arctic Silk Way 2016” in the Bering, Chukchi, East Siberian Seas, Laptev Sea. The expedition took place on board the R/V Akademik M.A. Lavrentiev.
  • 2019, September-October – Deputy Head of the Second Russian-Chinese Arctic Expedition “Arctic Silk Way 2019” to the Chukchi, East Siberian, and Laptev Seas. Project title: “Study of paleoclimatic and paleoceanological conditions of the Holocene and late Pleistocene of the Eastern Arctic seas of the Russian Federation.” The expedition took place on board the R/V Akademik M.A. Lavrentiev.
  • 2020, September-November – head of the Third Russian-Chinese Arctic Expedition “Arctic Silk Way 2020” to the Berengovo, Chukchi, East Siberian Seas, Laptev Sea and Ridge. Lomonosov. Reconstruction of ice processes in the seas of the Far East, the northwestern part of the Pacific Ocean and the Arctic in the Pleistocene-Holocene. Study of the interaction of ice conditions in these regions with global circulation mechanisms of the atmosphere and ocean during the Pleistocene-Holocene. Research on the connection between global and regional climate changes, mechanisms of climate signal transmission.
